A hidden gem!

Had a super chill 2 nights. The steak here? OMG, way better than any fancy place in St Louis! Laura and the staff were so nice and really helped with my health stuff. My room was comfy and super quiet, perfect for sleep. Just wish the bar had more drink options.

I enjoyed a restful stay with helpful staff and delicious food, making it easy to explore nearby attractions like the picturesque French Weir Park, just under 6 km away, and the fascinating Museum of Somerset, which is also less than 7 km from the inn.

The restaurant served outstanding food, including the best steak I've ever had, and the staff were attentive and helpful. The room was well-maintained, with all necessary amenities, providing a comfortable space for my stay.

The calm setting of the Anchor Inn, with beautiful decor and comfortable furnishings, made my stay wonderfully relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly, and it was so convenient having a lovely restaurant on-site with great food.

I also appreciated the comfortable bed that ensured a restful sleep. Just a note, if you're relying on public transport, it might be wise to have a car, as local transportation can be a challenge.

I had a wonderful stay in a spacious family room, enjoying the tranquil countryside and the beautiful garden area. The innovative breakfast service delivered freshly baked croissants right to my room, making for a delightful start to the day. The dining experience was outstanding, particularly the delicious roast lunch that surpassed my expectations. the shower pressure could use some improvement.

I had such a lovely stay, especially enjoying the perfect nut roast on Sunday and the comfy beds that guaranteed a peaceful night’s sleep. Would definitely go back!

Just a good match for a walk in the evening in Oake with extraordinarily good value for money. The local ale was wonderful and really added to the experience. Consider having a car for easier travel to local sights.

Had a great time with my friends! We loved the local walks right outside and enjoyed an awesome full English breakfast at the nearby golf course. The place offers a children's playground too, perfect for other guests. Don’t forget to check out the beautiful garden and terrace! We really relaxed and had fun together.
